Owners and admins manage team access from Settings -> Organization -> Members.
Invite members
To invite someone:
- Open Settings -> Organization -> Members
- Click Invite member
- Enter their work email address
- Select a role
- Send the invite
They will receive an email link to join the workspace. If they do not have a Tendor account yet, they will be prompted to create one.
Invitations expire after a limited time. You can resend or cancel pending invites from the Members page.
Roles
| Role | What they can do |
|---|
| Owner | Manage all workspace settings, billing, members, integrations, and projects |
| Admin | Manage organisation settings, members, projects, integrations, and team routines, except owner-only billing controls where restricted |
| Member | Create and work on projects according to workspace permissions |
External collaborators may see a reduced workspace focused on the project they were invited to.
External collaborators
Use external collaborator access when someone outside your organisation needs to help with a specific project, review, or submission. Keep access limited to the project they need, and remove it when the work is finished.
Before inviting an external collaborator, confirm:
- Which project they need
- Which files they should be able to view or edit
- Whether they should comment only or help prepare content
- Who inside your team will review their work before submission
Project collaborators
Project collaborators are different from workspace members. They are invited to a specific project, not the whole organisation.
| Role | Best for |
|---|
| Viewer | External reviewers who need to read project material but should not change working files |
| Editor | Partners, consultants, or contributors who need to help prepare content inside the project |
Project invitations may be pending, accepted, cancelled, or expired. If someone cannot open an invite, send a new invitation from the project. Remove collaborator access when the review or submission work is finished.
Before inviting a collaborator, check whether your plan includes project collaboration and whether the files in the project are appropriate to share outside your organisation.
What each role should manage
| Task | Usually managed by |
|---|
| Billing and plan changes | Owners |
| Inviting and removing team members | Owners and admins |
| Organisation profile, address, and service areas | Owners and admins |
| Team integrations and routines | Owners and admins |
| Project work, files, comments, and reviews | Members, admins, and owners |
Remove members
To remove a member, open Settings -> Organization -> Members, find the person, and remove them. Their workspace access is revoked immediately.
After removing a member, review connected accounts, routines, and project ownership if that person was responsible for active work.
When someone leaves
After removing a member, check:
- Active projects they owned or reviewed
- Routines they created or monitored
- Connected accounts they added
- Pending invites they sent
- Any files or drafts that need a new owner
Team usage
Discovery workspaces are limited to one member. Business and sales-led full workspaces are designed for teams that need broader workspace access, collaboration, and AI-assisted workflows.
